Description

Church Farmhouse is a house dating back to the 16th century, which was refaced in the 18th century and extended in the early 19th century. It is constructed of timber framing, brick, and a high base of ragstone, with decorative galletting. The roof is tiled. The building consists of two distinct phases, the left-hand side being the original timber-framed structure with a plinth, plat band (particularly noticeable on the return elevation), and a hipped roof, which steps up to the right. There are brick stacks at the rear left and at the end on the right. The left-hand side has two wooden casement windows on each floor; those on the ground floor have segmental heads. To the right are two blank window openings on the first floor and one on the ground floor, with a sash window to the right of the blank opening. A half-glazed door is located in the centre, set within a segmental opening with reeded lower panels and a reeded architrave.
