Description
Rock Cottages is a house that has been converted into a pair of cottages. It dates back to the 15th century or earlier, with cladding from the 18th century. The structure is timber framed and covered with ragstone, featuring red brick dressings and some areas that are tile hung. The roof is plain tiled and has one storey, an attic, and a two-storey cross-wing that juts out and is tile hung on the first floor. The roof is half-hipped on the left side and hipped on the right, with a hip and gablet on the cross-wing. There are chimney stacks at the left front end, centre left, and right end. The first floor of the cross-wing has two hipped dormers and a wooden casement window, while the ground floor has three segmentally headed wooden casement windows. Access to the rear is through a catslide outshot.
