Description

Militia House is a house built around 1830-1840, forming part of a terrace, although the property on the right has been altered. It features a timber frame covered in weatherboarding and has a slate roof that is hipped to the left, with a central brick chimney stack. The eaves cornice is bracketed. The front has three irregularly spaced 12-pane sash windows, with the right window on the first floor having three tall panes. Most windows have moulded architraves. The doorcase includes a flat hood supported by brackets and a 20th-century panelled door. Inside, there is a large 19th-century fireplace with pilasters.
