Description

This is a 15th-century timber-framed building with plaster infilling, located on the south side of The Street in Chessenden. The building has overhanging first floors in the end window bays, supported by bressumers and brackets with curved braces. The central portion features close-studded timbering, with an overhanging eaves supported by brackets. This section includes a single bay with a large window, spanning both ground and first floors, and featuring six lights, a wooden transom, and an oversailing gable containing an attic window. Windows throughout are of six lights, with diamond-shaped leaded panes. The building is topped by a hipped tiled roof. It is two storeys in height and has four windows.
