Description

The bell and housing, located 1 metre south-west of the Church of St. Peter and St. Paul in Bilsington, date from the 15th century for the bell and around 1900 for the housing. The structure is timber framed with a plain tiled roof. It features a simple braced wooden frame with a tiled pentice roof, and the bell hangs from a central cross-beam. The bell was funded by Henry Jordan, a fishmonger from London, and bears the inscription "In multis annis resonet Campana Johannis".
