Description

Forge Cottage is an early 19th-century cottage located on The Cross in Bilsington. The building is constructed of red and painted brick with a plain tiled roof. It is a single-storey building with a moulded stack at the end on the left side. The windows are sash windows; the left and right windows have vertical glazing bars, while the central window is a tripartite mullioned and transomed casement. There is a half-glazed door to the left side, a panelled door in the centre, and double carriage doors in the centre-right, also half-glazed with panelled lower sections. The cottage is included in the list for its group value.
