Description
Lees Cottage is a house dating from around 1700. It features a timber frame set on a brick plinth in Flemish bond and is clad in tile hanging with a plain tile roof. The building has a lobby entrance plan and consists of one storey and an attic with a hipped roof. There is a ridge stack located behind the door to the right of the centre and four hipped dormers. The cottage has three windows, which are 20th-century wood casements with leaded lights. The entrance includes a six-panelled door situated in a trellised porch topped with a pediment. Inside, there are two tooled and carved marble fireplaces adorned with damasque work, fleur-de-Lys, roses, and blind arcading, which are reputed to have come from the 16th-century Eastwell Manor, now destroyed.
