Description

The building at 86 and 87 High Street dates to the 18th century. It is a three-storey structure with red brick walls and a parapet. The building has three windows, with two two-storey bows on the first and second floors. A central six-panel door is set within panelled reveals and a pedimented doorcase, although the window directly above the door has been blocked. Each bow is framed by strip pilasters, consoles, and a bracketed cornice. A cornice runs horizontally across the building and around the heads of bins at the second-floor level. The building now has modern shop fronts. Nos 85 to 87 High Street are considered a group.
