Description
The Stables of the Bishops Palace is a service building dating from around 1500, with 20th-century restoration. It features brick walls adorned with diaper patterns on the east gable and blue and yellow triangular patterns on the chimney, which also has a stone plinth and quoins. The building includes some stone window frames with hoodmoulds and has a tiled roof. It is a rectangular, two-storey structure with plain openings that have restored oak casements, as well as stone windows in the Perpendicular style, consisting of one and two lights on the north wall. A prominent tapered stack is attached to the north wall, featuring a diagonal flue. The south side has a lower eaves and two gabled dormers.
