Description

Vergers Cottage is a pair of cottages located on Church Lane, dating from the early 19th century. They are constructed of rubble flint with brick dressings and feature a slate roof. Each cottage has a wide single bay and an early 19th century two-light cast iron casement window with a segmental head. There is a brick band at the first floor level and additional two-light cast iron casements above. The roof is hipped, with large stacks located at the center on each side of the ridge. These cottages are part of a group of estate cottages in the village, but they are notable for being the only unaltered examples.
