Description

The stables and wall to the service yard of Purbrook Heath House date from the early 19th century. The service yard features a high boundary wall that connects to the house and the stable block located in the north-east corner. The walls are constructed of brick in English bond and are painted on the inner face. The stable block is L-shaped, also built of brick in English bond, and has a hipped slate roof. A wide carriage entrance leads into the yard from the house forecourt, which is flanked by simple, massive gate-piers.
