Description

The Old Stables is a building dating from 1833, likely modernized from an earlier structure from the early 16th century. It features a timber frame with brick infill on the ground floor and plaster above. The building has two storeys and attics, with a large entrance under a timber arch in the middle of the side, which is now blocked. The roof is tiled and includes three gabled dormers, supported by a queen post roof. The Old Stables is part of a group of listed buildings in The Close.
