Description

The former Church of St Thomas and St Clement is a church dating from 1845 to 1846, designed by E W Elmslie, with the steeple completed in 1857. The building is constructed of coursed rubble with a tiled roof, and features a brick spire. It is built in the Decorated style and exhibits good geometrical tracery. The church has three gables facing the street, alongside a chancel and aisles. Numerous pinnacles adorn the structure. It is a visually striking building within the town.
