Description
No. 51 on Southgate Street is a mid-18th century building that stands two storeys tall with an attic. It is constructed of brick and features a low parapet and a moulded string course beneath it. The façade has five windows, which are sash windows with glazing bars, and there are five dormers in the roof. The entrance is marked by a doorway flanked by engaged Doric columns, topped with its own pediment and a fanlight. The door itself is a six-panel design set within panelled reveals. The building has a modern tiled mansard roof. Notably, all the listed buildings on the east side of Southgate Street form a cohesive group.
