Description

Blanton is a house dating from the mid-18th century. It features walls made of brickwork with blue headers and flush red dressings, along with quoins and rubbed flat arches that have small stone keys. There is a cemented plinth and a tile roof with hipped dormers. The eaves cornice is moulded wood with dentils. The symmetrical south front has two storeys and an attic, with three windows. The windows are sashes in exposed frames, while the dormers have 20th-century casements. The entrance is highlighted by a stucco doorcase with an arched moulded architrave, key, impost blocks, and plinths. The arched opening features a radiating fanlight above a six-panelled door, which is accessed by three steps.
