Description
The remains of a chapter house date from the early 16th century and are located immediately south of the southeast wing of Mottisfont Abbey. The structure is built of flint, with brick and stone dressings, and features a stone column. The wall stands about 1 meter high and faces the house, with an opening at one end that has brick dressings. At the other end, the wall deepens with stone dressings to form corners of a square measuring 2 by 2 meters. The remains are largely covered by ivy, and a portion of the column lies to the south.
