Description

Cross Oaks Farmhouse is a house that dates back to the 17th century, with an exterior that was altered in the early 19th century. The building features brick walls laid in Flemish bond, a plinth, and both cambered and flat arches, although some features have been modified. It has a steep hipped slate roof with a central large chimney stack that has three diagonal flues, which have been replaced. The symmetrical north front has two storeys and four windows, suggesting it was originally designed as a lobby-entrance house, with later extensions added to each end. The windows are casements, and there is a 20th-century brick porch with a gable and a four-panelled door.
