Description

This granary, located 8 meters northeast of Fairbourne's Farm House, dates from the 18th century. It features timber boarding on a timber frame and is elevated on nine staddle-stones. The roof is half-hipped and covered with Welsh slate, oriented along a north-south axis. The south wall has a boarded and ledged door. Inside, there is an early inserted floor and a simple purlin roof primarily made of oak, although some rafters have been replaced. The partitions and linings are mostly intact. This structure is part of a farmstead that has origins dating back to before 985 AD.
