Description
Sharpe's Farmhouse is a 16th-century farmhouse that was extended in the 18th century. It features a timber-frame structure with brick infill and scantling timber, along with a brick and weatherboard service range, topped with a thatched roof. The building is 1½ storeys high and has two bays, while the service range to the left is a single storey with three bays. The front of the house has a ledged plank door beneath an open-fronted gabled porch made of brick and timber, which is tiled. Each side of the house has an 18th-century three-light leaded casement window, and there is a similar three-light casement in an eyebrow dormer above. To the right is the service range, which has an end bay that is weatherboarded and another bay with a leaded casement. The roof is half-hipped, with a separate roof for the service range, and there are ridge pieces and a central stack above the door. There is also a 20th-century lean-to on the left end.
