Description
The Church of St. Peter is a parish church with medieval origins, significantly restored in 1879 by R.J. Withers. It is constructed of flint and tile, featuring an aisleless nave, a south porch, and a chancel with a north vestry. The church has a plain roof and a bell-turret at the west end, which has a pyramid tile roof and shingled sides. The walls are made of flint and stone rubble, with stone dressings, stepped buttresses, and a plinth. On the south side of the chancel, there is a lancet window and a blocked priest's door, remnants of the original structure. The windows are coupled, and there is a triple west window. The interior is Victorian, highlighted by a three-bay stone chancel screen with three cusped arches and an elaborate font.
