Description

Western House is an early 19th-century building that was originally a two-storey house and has undergone several later extensions, including a narrow block on the southeast that now serves as a shopfront. The main facade faces east and features two semi-circular two-storey bays, each containing one window. The roof is hipped and covered with slate, and the building has brick dentil eaves. The painted brickwork is laid in Flemish bond and includes rubbed flat arches, stone cills, and a plinth. The windows are sashes set in reveals. The street front is symmetrically arranged with three upper windows and end pilasters that have moulded caps, with stucco walling completing the exterior.
