Description

32 High Street is an early 19th-century building with a slightly bowed symmetrical front, featuring three storeys and a basement, along with three windows. The façade has a moulded stone cornice beneath a blocking course, and is constructed of yellow brick in Flemish bond, with Dutch flat arches and stone cills. There are arched doorways on either side of the building. The windows are sashes set in reveals, with the long first-floor windows having narrow side panes and opening onto a balcony adorned with delicate wrought-iron rails that display a variety of section widths in a symmetrical 'Gothic' style. The ground floor features a central three-light sash window. The deep doorways are highlighted by radiating fanlights and panelled doors, accessed by a flight of stone steps that lead to different levels.
