Description

Banktree Farmhouse is a house dating from the early 18th century. It is constructed of painted brick and features a thatched roof. The building has a regular front facing south, consisting of two storeys and six windows, although some of these are now blank and one has been filled in. The roof is hipped and half-hipped, with a central shafted chimney stack and a tapered stack at the eastern end. The brickwork is laid in Flemish bond and includes a first-floor band, cambered openings on the ground floor, and a plinth. The windows are a mix of casements and sashes, with the easternmost windows being sashes. The entrance features a five-panelled door set within a 19th-century trellis porch that sits on a low wall, also topped with thatch.
