Description

Daventry Cottage is a house dating from the 17th century, with late 20th-century alterations. It features a timber-framed structure topped with a half-hipped thatch roof, which has varying eaves levels. The building has one storey and an attic, with two windows. The frame is exposed at the front (north) and at the upper parts of each end, suggesting that the lower rear extension conceals a former catslide. The infill is painted brick with some areas of flint. The windows are small casements, and there is a boarded door set in a solid frame. Late 20th-century brick and tile extensions are present, set back on the west side.
