Description
The stable and cartshed range, extending eastwards from Manor Cottage Farmhouse, is a Grade II listed building dating from the 18th century and early 19th century. This continuous structure follows the curving roadside boundary and is divided into four sections that meet at slight angles, featuring a through carriageway between the first and second units. The building has a continuous thatched roof that ends in hips.
The outer face consists of a solid wall made of rendered cob, except for the second section, which has flint with brick verticals and horizontal bands. On the inner elevations, the first unit has a rendered wall with brick jambs for four stable doors, along with a hayloft door above the second opening. The second unit features boarding above three garage openings and includes a dormer window set within an eyebrow opening in the roof. The third and fourth units are open to the courtyard, supported by arch-braced posts on stone bases and featuring Queen post trusses.
