Description
This barn, located 75 meters northwest of Lower Eldon Farmhouse, dates from the 18th century. It features a timber-frame structure weatherboarded on a brick plinth, topped with a corrugated iron roof. The barn consists of ten bays and has double doors on both sides of the three bays at each end. There is a small double door and a window opposite one central bay, along with a stable door in the end bay. Inside, the barn has a queen-post roof supported by angled queen-posts, with curved braces to the ties and some straight windbraces. The walls include diagonal bracing.
