Description

This is an 18th-century building comprising six properties, numbered 54 to 58, on The Hundred. It is two storeys and an attic in height, constructed of brick with toothed eaves, and has an old tile roof, with some parts renewed; the west end has a hip roof. There are four dormer casements, two of which are now boarded up. The brickwork of number 54 has been renewed. The building has five windows and one boarded-up window on the first floor, with sash windows. New windows have been inserted in number 54. The five easternmost windows and the window opening have rectangular panels of vitreous brick below ground floor level. The ground floors have been altered and renovated, and now contain three modern shop fronts; the shop fronts in numbers 56 and 58 are modern, with plate-glass windows and typical fascias.
