Description

No. 17 Chantry Street is a 16th and 18th century timber-framed house that stands two storeys high and features two windows. The roof is tiled, and the walls are rendered. The upper sashes are in exposed frames. On the north side of the ground floor, there is an 18th century shopfront with a slightly-curved cornice and fascia, along with a central doorway situated between windows that have 28 lights. The south side has a coupled solid door case that includes two windows and a boarded door. The rear elevations, which include a large extension, display exposed framing with painted brick infill and casement windows.
