Description

The Cottage is a house dating from the 17th century, featuring timber framing and 18th-century cladding, with rear additions made in the 20th century. The front of the building has one storey and an attic, with three windows. It has a half-hipped thatch roof, with eaves raised above the upper windows and lowered to create a canopy over the entrance. The walls are made of horizontal flint panels, accented with brick quoins and bands. The upper windows are casements, while the lower ones are sash windows, including two early 19th-century splayed bays with three lights. The entrance has a half-glazed door, and there is a terra-cotta panel featuring raised figures dated 1697.
