Description
Number 5 on Horsefair is an early 19th-century building that stands three stories tall and is constructed of colourwashed brick. It features flat eaves and a slate roof. The upper floors have three sash windows, each three panes wide, while the ground floor has two sash windows without glazing bars. All the windows are set in segmental arches. The central entrance door has six fielded panels and is topped by a plain rectangular fanlight. The doorcase is adorned with plain pilasters and a frieze, along with a flat board hood supported by shaped brackets. This building holds an important position facing Dorm Church Street. Number 5, along with numbers 5 to 13 (odd) and Rydal House, forms a group with numbers 37 and 39 Church Street.
