Description
Grove House is an early 19th-century house located on Southampton Road in Ringwood. It is constructed of stuccoed brick and features a slate roof. The building is two stories high and has three bays, with the center bay being deeply recessed while the roof extends across the entire structure, making it two bays deep.
The front of the house includes a six-panelled door that is two-thirds glazed, accompanied by a semi-circular fanlight with a curved glazing pattern. This door is framed by a doorcase with reeded pilasters and an architrave surrounding the fanlight. There is a balcony at the first-floor level supported by iron brackets, and it is enclosed by cast iron railings that feature scroll work. Above the balcony, there is a light timber arch under the eaves.
At the rear, French windows with narrow edge panes are topped by a radiating fanlight. The flanking bays contain six-pane sash windows with wider center panes and sliding louvred shutters. The roof is hipped and features end wall stacks.
