Description
The barn at Little Gore Farm, dating from the 17th to 18th century, is a timber-framed structure featuring four bays and a three-bay southern extension made of red brick with grey headers. The end wall of the cross-framed section is still visible inside. The barn has square panel framing with exposed brick infilling and some weatherboarding, along with a brick plinth. It has opposite doors and a stone floor. The original thatched roof has been replaced with corrugated material. There was formerly a horse gin attached to the west side of the barn. Inside, the roof trusses include collar beams, slanting Queen Posts, and braces to the beams and wall posts. The farmhouse, front wall, and barns at Little Gore Farm, along with Gore Grange and its outbuildings, form a group of buildings of local interest.
