Description
Thatched Cottage is a cottage dating from the late 18th century, with a 19th-century extension. It is constructed of roughcast cob and brick, topped with a thatched roof. The original cottage is set back from the road and is 1½ storeys high with two bays, while the one-storey, two-bay addition is at the road end and features a projecting bay along the roadside. The garden front includes a central plank door beneath a thatch hood, flanked by sloping buttresses and one or two-light casement windows. Above the door and in the far bay, there is a two-light eyebrow dormer. The roof is hipped at the far end, with a chimney stack located at the road end. The addition features French doors.
