Description
Elmleigh House is a house, now divided into 8 units, built around 1830 with later alterations and additions from the late 19th and 20th centuries. The exterior is finished in stucco and features a hipped slate roof. The symmetrical front, facing south, has two storeys and three windows. The upper windows are sashes, while the ground floor has splayed bays with cornices supported by brackets, and French windows flanked by narrow sidelights. Above the stone pavement, there is a wrought-iron trellis balcony with open 'pilasters' that have diagonal patterns, positioned beside thin columns topped with arches. The east elevation has two windows and one additional window projecting on the north side, featuring old sash windows. The building has been extended to the north and west in later years.
