Description

This is a group of three cottages, numbers 36, 38, and 40, located on South Street in Emsworth. They date back to the 18th century, with some alterations and details from the early 19th century. The cottages are built of painted brick with tile roofing. They are two storeys and an attic in height, with a symmetrical facade of approximately one and a half window bays. One dormer window is flat-roofed, and one window is a Victorian sash; the others are casement windows, including a small bay window. The doors are plain. The cottages are listed for their group value.
