Description

Brian Cottage is a 17th-century building with a modern extension. It has one storey with an attic and an outshot at the north-west end corner. There is a modern one-storey south wing extending from the end of the old block, along with a further two-storeyed wing attached to the south-east end. The cottage features an exposed timber-frame structure with strutted main studs, and the infill is made of painted brickwork. The roof is thatched, with eyebrows over the upper lights in the old part, and the thatch extends over the outshots. The modern part blends with the old due to the prominent thatched roof.
