Description

Rose Vale and The Chimes is a 17th-century, two-storey timber-framed building with a projecting gabled south end and a recent north extension designed to match the original style. The roof is covered with red tiles and features half-hips at the north end. Between the south gable and the main blocks, the eaves drop down to the ground floor entrance of The Chimes. The upper part of the original frame is exposed, while the lower walls are rendered. The front gable is rough-cast, and the windows are modern casements with plain doors.
