Description

Velmead Farmhouse is a 17th-century house, restored later. It is a timber-framed building of two storeys. The ground floor is faced with painted brickwork, while the first floor is tile-hung. An extension on the east side, which may be the oldest part of the building, retains exposed timberwork in its gable. The roof is of red tiles, and is half-hipped, with a tall brick chimney stack. The windows are modern casements, and there is a modern porch.
