Description

Trigg's Farmhouse is a 17th-century building with additions dating circa 1900. It is a two-storied timber-framed structure with an attached, large-scale northern section from the late Victorian period, presenting two gables to the front (east) with a 1:1:1 window arrangement. The roof is tiled, with a half-hipped design and old and later gables, and later full hips. The original section has a tile-hung upper floor, which becomes exposed timber at the rear, with rendered lower walling; the newer parts are red brickwork. A massive chimney breast is located on the south side (west end), and a shafted stack is in the centre of the original block. The windows are casements, with a large bay on the front (north side). A brick central porch features an A-centred arch, and there is a gabled open porch at the rear.
