Description
Erlands is a house dating from the 17th and 18th centuries. The main, east-facing front is two storeys and an attic, with four windows. It has a red tile roof, gabled at each end, with the north side tile-hung. A wooden cornice with modillions runs along the eaves. The walls are red brick in a Flemish bond pattern, with flat arches above the windows and a plinth at the base. The windows are sash windows in exposed frames. A modern semicircular bay window has been added to the south end of the ground floor. The doorway is topped by a canopy supported by brackets, and has a seven-panelled door. The rear, west-facing side reveals an earlier construction, with three gables. This rear elevation is brick with an English bond pattern, and features bands marking the first and second floors; the windows are casement windows. Modern gabled extensions have been added to the west and south sides of the house.
