Description

Dares Farmhouse is a mid-17th century, two-storey timber-framed house with a later wing added to the north-west corner, dating from the mid-19th century. It features a red tile roof that has a half-hip on the north side and a full hip on the south side, sloping down to low eaves as an outshot. The house has a shafted stack and an exposed frame with painted brick infilling, while the Victorian extension is finished in painted brickwork. The windows are casements, and there are two half-dormers on the east side, both with diagonally-leaded lights in the upper part. The ground floor includes later outshots, which feature a porch.
