Description

The Co-op Grocery Store and Post Office is a timber-framed building dating from the 17th, 18th, and 19th centuries. The structure features exposed framing at the rear and has an 18th-century front that is two storeys high with five upper windows. It has a red tile roof and stucco walling, with sash windows set in reveals. The ground floor includes a shop front with a cornice and high-level glazing above a wall that accommodates a letter box. There is a through passageway, and a late 19th-century long shop front with three windows and two doorways beneath a continuous frieze.
