Description
Manchester House is a late 18th-century building that has been modernized. It stands two storeys tall with three windows. The roof is covered in red tiles and has a half-hipped design at the east end, featuring moulded eaves supported by pairs of cut brackets. The brickwork is painted and laid in Flemish bond. The first floor has sash windows set in reveals, while the ground floor features a modern shopfront designed in a 'Georgian' style. At the rear, there is a long wing made up of extensions from different periods, one of which is dated 1866, all constructed in a vernacular style. This includes an old doorcase that may have been reused from the front, which has a round-headed doorway, a fanlight, a six-panelled door, and reeded pilasters that support a broken entablature and an open pediment.
