Description

Baseley's Bridge is a bridge built in 1792 that spans the Basingstoke Canal and the towpath. It features a cambered arch that is also curved in plan, with straight cutwaters. The bridge is constructed of red brick, with a projecting band located below the parapet. The parapet ends in square pillars topped with plain white stone caps. An oval metal plaque above the arch indicates that it is Baseley's Bridge, built in 1792 and restored in 1975 by Hampshire County Council.
