Description

Sandy Hill Bridge is a tall red brick arch bridge built in 1792, located above the Basingstoke Canal and the towpath. The arch has a cambered form, and the bridge features a parapet with a projecting band that ends in square stone-capped piers. An oval metal plaque on the bridge indicates that it was built in 1792 and restored in 1975 by Hampshire County Council.
