Description

The barn at Swans Farm, located to the south of the farmhouse, dates from the 18th century. It is a timber-framed structure consisting of six bays, featuring a full-height outshot on the northwest side. The frame is supported by a low brick wall, with vertical posts that hold tie-beams and curved struts leading to the purlins. The roof is covered with red tiles and is half-hipped, with a full hip over the outshot and entrance. The walls are boarded, and a later first floor has been inserted, except for the outshot bay.
