Description

Stacey's Bridge is a bridge built in 1792, located over the Basingstoke Canal. It features a cambered arch design with a curved plan that opens outward from the center. The arch spans both the waterway and the towpath. At road level, there is a projecting band, and the parapet walls terminate in square piers topped with plain stone caps. An oval metal plaque on the bridge indicates that it was built in 1792 and restored in 1975, with the restoration resulting in a narrower bridge.
