Description

Barley Mow Bridge is a late 18th-century structure located over the Basingstoke Canal. It features a standard design with a cambered arch that spans both the waterway and the towpath. Above the arch, there is a projecting band that indicates the slightly cambered roadway. The parapet walls terminate in square piers, which have plain stone caps. The bridge and its cutwaters are constructed of red brickwork in English bond. Additionally, five cast-iron discs are visible at the ends of the metal ties.
