Description

Causeway Farmhouse is a mid-18th century to mid-19th century building located in Hartley Wintney. It is two storeys high and features a symmetrical facade with three windows across the front. A prominent feature is the tall Dutch gable on the north side, which has an oval opening above a first-floor mullion and transom window. Below this, there is a large angular bay with a tiled roof and three brick mullion and transom windows. To the south, there is a lower wing that includes one window above a large open porch. This porch is supported by decorative timber framing and has a roof made of scallop tiles. A simpler wing is located further south. The building is topped with red tile roofing and constructed from red brick in Flemish bond, with casement windows and a wide boarded door set within a four-centred arch.
