Description

Dial House is an 18th-century house located in Eversley Cross. It is a two-storey building with a symmetrical facade of nine bays. The roof is tiled and gabled at each end, with a hipped roof on the projecting west wing, which bears a brick inscription reading “FH 1812.” The brickwork is red, in a Flemish bond pattern, with Monk bond used in the west wing, and several blue headers are visible. Ground-floor window openings are cambered. The windows are two-light casements with square leaded panes. A doorway is topped by a wide hood supported on brackets, above which is a recessed space that formerly held a window. This recess now contains a carved stone sundial panel dated 1768. A modern extension built on the north side is designed to match the original style.
